2. Include your call-to-action throughout your content

Though most content writers differ in opinion when it comes to the placement (and volume) of a call-to-action, I personally believe it’s very important that a CTA is placed in several places, particularly for a piece of sales copy. Even if you place it twice throughout your copy – once at the end and once say in the middle, you still stand a better chance of boosting conversion rates.

3. Tell a story

Traditional marketing copy pushed instructions onto readers, telling them to go off and do something without any concern for their feelings. Today, things have changed dramatically and the majority of marketing copy published nowadays is crafted in such a way that companies tell compelling stories, rather than bossing their readers about by telling them what to do and what not to do.

If you are crafting some sales copy it’s important to stick to this rule, as if you are telling a story your audience will put themselves at the heart of that story, which will make the story so much more relatable. When you then start to discuss the problems that the character is facing (which should match the problems of your target audience), your audience will empathise with the protagonist, which will in turn trigger their emotions and increase their chances of making a purchase. Most people make their purchasing decisions based on emotion, not logic, so this is an excellent tactic to adopt! This is also a great way to make your content go viral!
