If you feel as if your social media is stuck in a bit of a rut and needs a boost, use this guide for some creative ways to give your social strategy a fun twist that will attract more visitors and keep your audience engaged!
1. Get active with blogging
Blogging offers a creative, diverse way to reach out to your target market and there are plenty of options when it comes to blogging, from long-form to short-form (microblogging) and everything else in between.
If you haven’t already done so, set up a blog section on your website and post regular content here. Ensure it is mobile-friendly and don’t forget to share your posts across your social media platforms for ultimate exposure!
2. Add audio
You may have never previously considered adding audio to your social media marketing strategy, but trust us, it works. Next time you create a blog post, why not record it in audio format and upload it onto your website and social pages – you’ll soon appeal to a unique segment of your target audience, who are not interested in reading content, but prefer instead to listen to it.
3. Re-share old content
We’ve mentioned this on the 8 Ways Media blog before and that’s because it really works. Find old content that generated a strong response from your audience. Revise it to ensure it’s up-to-date and re-share it across your social media channels. There’s without doubt a segment of your audience who’ve never seen this content before, so it’s a great way to attract new attention to some fantastic content and generate another round of interest!
4. Create infographics
Infographics are aesthetically appealing and easy to digest whilst being a great promotional tool that enables you to easily express yourself. Make sure that your company’s name and URL are clearly visible so that you gain suitable exposure from the infographic.
5. Find some modern photo editing tools
The eye is naturally attracted to an image; therefore images play a fundamental role in social media marketing. And while there are plenty of images available on the internet, many of which are free of charge to use, there’s nothing better than taking your own photos. There are plenty of photo-editing tools out there including Canva and PicMonkey, available on desktop, and Pic TapGo and Snapseed, available on mobile.
